Had a very interesting trip to Milton Keynes on Wednesday 24th November 2024. It came as a nice surprise and a bit of a roundabout way.
I am involved in the Mountain Bike Centre at Glentress and also helped to set up the Formula Student Team at Edinburgh Napier University. By chance G at the Mountain Bike Centre knew Ben from Oracle, and because they are involved with Red Bull Racing, thought I should attend a meeting on AI. As it was, it has nothing to do with Formula Student but a lot to do with AI.
There is going to be a meeting with Oracle and some of the staff at Napier early this year. A good old brainstorming session that could be very interesting. Maybe our Formula Student Team will get involved at some point!
The big opportunity is data in bikes, vibration, etc, at Glentress with the Living Lab being developed there. Also, other great potential projects could happen.
As I tell students, it’s always good to network and always remember chance can bring together great opportunities of you keep an open mind.
